Mission Statement

The mission of the Cardiology Fellowship Training Program is to train cardiovascular physicians, teachers, and researchers of tomorrow by providing training in clinical cardiology and exposure to cardiology research through scholarly activities. This prepares the trainee for careers in either a clinical or an academic facet of their choice, with a commitment to learning and the ability to function as cardiology leaders in the local community.

Diversity in Recruitment and Selection: The Palmetto General Hospital Cardiology Fellowship Program ensures diversity in recruitment, selection, and retention by accepting applicants through the ERAS program and from within the Internal Medicine Program of Palmetto General Hospital.
