Family Medicine Residency 2023-2024 Block Diagram
Didactics
Every Thursday afternoon is reserved for didactics. This is protected time and allows residents to focus on learning without feeling rushed. Lectures are given by family medicine faculty as well as subspecialists. Our didactics sessions also include procedural skills workshops and board review.
Continuity Clinic
Managing continuity patients across a wide range of ages, disease processes, and complexities is a fundamental aspect in the role of family physicians. North Miami Beach is home to our ambulatory care continuity clinic. Each resident has their own panel of patients to follow. We have attending physicians that rotate throughout the week, allowing for residents to learn from different teaching philosophies and clinical decisions.
