PGH Reaffirms Commitment to Staff and Patients
HIALEAH, FL (April 4, 2025) — Palmetto General Hospital Statement Reaffirming Commitment to Staff and Patients
Palmetto General Hospital (PGH) deeply values and appreciates the dedication of our registered nurses and support teams who deliver compassionate, high-quality care to our community every day. Our employees’ commitment is the foundation of our hospital’s continued excellence.
Approximately ten PGH nurses and several outside participants gathered today to voice concerns ahead of the upcoming contract negotiations. While PGH respects the right to peaceful demonstration, it’s important to address the misinformation being circulated by external union representatives.
It is not unusual during bargaining periods for external being circulated by external union representatives to circulate misinformation in an effort to influence perception. As we navigate the transition of the newly acquired hospitals, Palmetto General Hospital remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and delivering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and employees.
PGH has never compromised patient care or safety. PGH has not and will not eliminate positions, and all employees continue to have access to comprehensive health insurance and some of the most competitive working conditions in the nation.
HSA is actively investing in the future of PGH and its patients – including updating medical equipment, ensuring equitable employee benefits, and striving to create an inclusive workplace culture.
Any staff members with concerns are encouraged to speak directly with hospital leadership who are here to listen and collaborate.
